The factory-built airframe uses triangulated
6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum. This is the key to the Challenger's unusually
light weight and +6 / -3 G strength.
The fuselage and tail are covered in Superflite/Stits aircraft
covering material.
Wings are usually ordered with Superflite but Dacron sailcloth is an option.
Superflite wings take somewhat more time to assemble and cover
but have much better longevity, performance and appearance.
